At home in Dresden

At long last, as promised, here is a picture of the street where we live. It's generally quiet and pleasant here.


Below is the front of our building. The door that you see just left of the center of the picture is ours, and we live on the top floor. The top windows directly above the door are our bedroom windows.


Below, Jacob is in our kitchen, getting dinner ready. We're about to have one of our favorite meals here...


Pelmeni! I know, we're in Germany, not Russia. But who could resist these? According to the package, they are delicious "paste bags" filled with swine flesh.

(Sorry our dinner is sideways -- I tried five times to get it the right direction and it just alternated between this and the other sideways)


And here's a nice view of the sunset from our bedroom window. This picture doesn't do justice to the colors, but you get the idea.
